AMAZING COMIC CON ALOHA BRINGS MORE TALENT TO HAWAII with HUGE ARTIST ALLEY!
Amazing Comic Con Aloha is the biggest Pop Culture Event in the state of Hawaii. We believe the best in Pop Culture Begins with Comic Books. Our goal is to bring out a great selection of creators - independant and mainstream- and feature them in an international artist alley. Here the fans of Honolulu can interact, get signatures, commission original work, purchase prints and more. Since we relaunched our site in the fall of last year, a number of creators have been in the spotlight- this is a small sample of the great personalities coming to this year’s show. Listed below are some fan favorites!
MARAT MYCHAELS has been a familiar face at the Amazing Comic Con Aloha, returning to Honolulu. He is respected veteran breaking in to Image Comics launch with Brigade and other additional Extreme Comics. Over the next two decades he has pencilled for Marvel, DC 52, and more. His creator owned parody books DEAD POOH & HARDLY THINN are fan favorites in the artist alley; this work along with LADY DEATH covers have earned Marat Mychaels the title as the “homage king”. Marat’s back issues has rediscovered with DEADPOOL CORPS and X-Force: SHATTERSTAR leading the pack. Check out the Amazing Comic Con Exclusives that Marat has created for the fans of Hawaii!
EDDIE NUNEZ returns to Honolulu Hawaii with Amazing Comic Con Aloha. He is a fan favorite at Amazing Comic Conventions with his animated fusion style which he brings to comics. He has provided exclusive cover for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as the Batman Crossover. Nunez is currently working in Austin Texas for Powerhouse Animation, the home for Netflix’s CASTLEVANIA and more.
JOEL GOMEZ returns to Honolulu at Amazing Comic Con Aloha 2020. He is pencilling Coffin Comics’ La Muerta, a property that is in the Lady Death Universe. He has contributed art chores to DC Comics’ REVERSE FLASH Special, Gears of War, Lost Boys, and more. Joel got his start in the industry working for Top Cow, and Aspen, before moving onto Wildstorm, and finally freelancing on top projects
BETH SOTELO makes another appearance in Hawaii with Amazing Comic Con. She is a well respected color artists in the comic industry, first breaking into the business with Top Cow, before moving to Aspen Comics where she colors Fathom, Soulfire, and others. She has also freelanced on Marvel and DC Titles such as Wolverine Killing Made Simple, Prelude to Infinite Crisis, Catwoman, and has launched her own series, The Grump as well.
MARK MAY is a artist making his first Amazing Comic Con Aloha. He is a Lucasfilm approved artist, contributing promo and trading card. He has worked independently in comics, with pin-ups and covers for Marat Mychael’s Nottie & Nyce Series, and has created the comic series and game play for HELLBRINGERS.
Amazing Comic Con Aloha will be publishing booth and table assignments for each of our guests, including a floorplan early this week. We are thrilled for the number of quality artists and creators who will be meeting the fans of Hawaii.

Amazing Comic Con Aloha will be opening our doors at the Hawaii Convention Center in just a few short weeks in 2020 on February 21-22-23.
