HARRY POTTER IN HAWAIIAN: A READING.
A reading from Harry Potter a Me Ka Pōhaku Akeakamai (Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone) by the book’s translator Dr. Keao NeSmith (University of Hawaii) with Q&A following. Panel presented in English and Hawaiian.
MJ Wilke is known leader in comic conventions both in the state of Hawaii and throughout the mainland. She has hosted a wide range of panels centering on fandom and travel across numerous conventions. MJ and the Wayward Nerd will be hosting Dr. Keao NeSmith from the University of Hawaii. He has translated the JK Rowlings now classic series into the Hawaiian language. And while Harry Potter fandom will be celebrated at this Sunday Event, Dr. NeSmith will tie the importance of the translation for the People of Hawaii.
This Harry Potter Panel is part of the festivities of FAMILY DAY at the Amazing Comic Con Aloha. While the entire weekend will be friendly to kids, Sunday will have additional programming and activities fun for all ages! The best part- Kids are FREE all weekend with Adults!
