AMAZING COMIC CON ALOHA TOP DESTINATION FOR CREATIVE COMMUNITY OF HAWAII
Did you know Amazing Comic Con Aloha is the #1 platform for Artists in Hawaii? Locals from Honolulu to artists who have moved to the mainland- each come back to Amazing Comic Con Aloha each year to pay tribute to the fans of Hawaii. We are honored to host this destination to celebrate the rich tradition of local talent. This News update just gives one small sample of the diverse talent you will find on the floor of the Hawaii Convention Center February 21-22-23
*SAM CAMPOS with Kawasaki Productions is the “Godfather of the Hawaiian Comic Book Scene”. His creator owned PINEAPPLE MAN led the charge of locally produced comics. At its launch, Campos’ creation outsold industry leaders such as Batman and X-Men with the state. In addition to Pineapple Man, Sam created KANAKA which made its debut in Honolulu 2019 at Amazing Comic Con Aloha. Kawasaki Art Lab- which teaches art and design courses will be exhibiting each of the 3 days on the main floor of the Hawaii Convention Center.
*MOG PARK is one of the hottest artists to make a spash from Hawaii on the national scene. She has worked for HBO on the ever popular GAME OF THRONES. During this past year she has spread her wings on the national convention circuit and has impressed crowds with her samurai depictions of current pop culture icons. Further she has been featured on a number of independant covers for Big Dog Ink and other clients. Mog Park returns to Honolulu Hawaii along with her studio in training sptly named STUDIO MOGWARTS- which is headed by Mel B, Ahn V, Josh V, and Taylor M. This studio produced a prtion of the VIP Original Sketch Covers, which they will be gladly signing throughout the weekend.
*WYNETTE SABALBURO or as convention goers know her HSXX. Wynette is a local artist living in Honolulu, known for her great use of colors and coipic markers. Favorite subjects include Gaming Culture from Capcom Street Fighter to Overwatch and more. Check out her prints, sticker collections, and commission work in the artist alley at Amazing Comic Con Aloha.
*KAMUELA MOE embodies the heart and soul of the Hawaii. He is a friend of Amazing Comic Con with his welcoming smile, his passion, and his talent. Kamuela utilizing a number of media blending Polynesian Culture with the best in Pop Culture. From Star Wars Helmets to Mask of Deathstroke- he has presented cherished gifts to the biggest guests of Amazing Comic Con, and showcases his work to each of the fans meeting him and his family in the artist alley. We highly recommend spending time with Kamuela at the Amazing Comic Con Aloha, as we know you will love him as much as we do!
