AMAZING COMIC CON CONTINUES TO EXPAND, adds Influential Comic Creator CARL POTTS to Line-up
Carl Potts is one of the most influential figures in modern comics. He was a mentor to Jim Lee and others in the 1980s. Working as an editor, writer, and an artist at Marvel and Epic Comics, he is best associated with the launch of Punisher War Journal, Creating the Alien Legion, and editing titles such as Doctor Strange, Incredible Hulk, Alpha Flight, and others.
And recently he created the official publication- THE DC COMICS GUIDE TO CREATING COMICS: Inside the Art of Visual Storytelling.
Carl Potts has ties to Amazing Comic Con, not just due to his influence on previous guests like Jim Lee. Carl Potts was first hired by Jim Starlin in 1975 while working on DC Comics, Richard DragonKung Fu Fighter. Later, he went on to work with Neal Adams at Continuity Studios as well.
Carl Potts will be joining Amazing Comic Con Aloha as part of his tour of Hawaii. He will be appearing on each of the 3 days of the show, meeting the fans of Honolulu, signing books, answering questions, and participating in weekend panels.
